Door Frames

This week I finished the door frames. I first hung a door on each frame and made any final adjustments as needed.

Then I masked the area the best I could and sprayed the door frames with a satin black enamel.

I went through 7 cans of spray paint putting three coats on four door frames.

I then caulked around the door frames and cleaned up the surprising amount of black overspray “dust” on everything.

The sprayed finish is perfect looking, but some overspray did occur and I’ll have to touch up some walls and ceilings as a result.

The paint will need about a month to cure, but thankfully I won’t be hanging the doors until about then anyway.

I also painted the PVC trim near the exterior door to match.
