Workshop Cleanup

September 8, 2024

I finally got around to cleaning up the workshop. Over the course of the build, the workshop had become unmanageably cluttered despite multiple attempts to tame it.

The first thing I did was install some high-bay lights.

I originally bought these lights for the studio, but I decided against the 6500K color temperature and ended up installing 4100K lights instead.

I bought a bunch of heavy duty shelving and created aisles.

Eventually I’d like to make use of the high ceilings with some sort of storage loft.

I also gave away and sold a bunch of materials and equipment I was no longer in need of.

There’s finally enough space to work on projects indoors.

And with all that space, I was able to make some progress finishing the last few doors for the studio interior.

This is the 4th attempt to finish these doors. Twice before with veneer that bubbled, and once before with paint that never cured.
