This month I dug the trench for the electrical service.

The water table at our house is very high, so the trench almost immediately filled with water. I’ll have to pump it out for the electrician to place the conduit.

I rented a mini excavator and dug the 40 in. deep 150 ft. long trench, making a mess of our yard in the process.

I moved a lot of the material in the pasture road to raise up the back corner of the garden. We are starting to think the pasture will be somewhere else now.

The excavator also proved quite useful for leveling the garden so we could install some raised beds.
