Low Voltage Conduit

July 3, 2021

To improve flexibility and somewhat future-proof the low-voltage wiring plan, I decided to add a large conduit between the machine room, loft and live room. This will allow me to run cables on-the-fly between these spaces.

I’m using standard toilet flanges to terminate the conduit runs.

In the live room, the conduit exits out a hole that’s about 8ft off the ground.

The 4 in OD pipe will provide plenty of space for large amounts of cables and connectors to pass through.

In the machine room, the conduit exits out a hole in the ceiling soffit.

I’ll eventually add some sort of trim to the flange here, likely after the carpet is laid.

In the loft, the conduit exits out of the floor near the low and high voltage floor boxes.
