This week I’ve been installing the last 10 pieces along the top of the side walls which the roofing will attach to. This involves placing the piece in the right spot, clamping it down, pre-drilling a hole for each slot in the piece and then driving a screw in to secure it.And that’s it. No more red steel parts. I cleaned up the building site, swept the entire slab, moved the scissor lifts off to the side and invited my kids to come scoot and skate around with me.
It’s supposed to rain tomorrow and then be sunny for a good stretch. I have the scissor lifts for one more week, so this will be my last weekend with them. So far, it looks like I’ll have some help, and perhaps I can get the siding on.
